Weekend Review - Football

Cambridge United

The end of season for shown by Cambridge United is giving everyone confidence of a good season next year. They got their fourth win in five games over a struggling Scarborough side yesterday. This will almost certainly seal a 10th position finish for them something we all would have taken at the start of this season. Two goals from Rob Wolleaston sealed a come from behind victory and now with just one home game left the team can look back on a satisfactory season.

This is their fourth away win of the season and easily gives us opur best away form for five years. What is looking more impressive is that as a team we are starting to play well. Rob Newman has always talked about having a squad of around 18 for next season, and in this 16 plus a couple of others he may have found it. A new goalkeeper would not go amiss but the standard of keeping throughout the conference has not been great. What is needed now is a good hokme performance next Saturday to finish the season in style.
