Germany vs Italy

Two of the stalwarts of European football go into battle tomorrow night. For the competition we need Germany to win, for footballs sake we need Italy. This World Cup has seen the success of team who have got better as the tournament has progressed. However it does not take away from the fact that this is a very average German side. They showed absolutely no ambition against Argentina, and only attacked when they were behind. And once they scored it was back to defence again.

In contrast Italy, who cheated their way past Australia, looked really good in destroying the Ukraine and their overall attitude at this World Cup has been positive. If Toni really does have his scoring boots on the Germans could find themselves in trouble. If you add to that the miserly defence that they have it looks like we could be in for a long night. I hope Italy win, and then go onto win the World Cup, they deserve it. 1-0 to the Italy
